I had a fantastic experience at Cannery Cafe. The lunch was delicious, and the coffee was top-notch. The staff was friendly, and the ambiance was inviting. What I loved most was the diverse menu offering both traditional brunch options and creative dishes crafted by their talented chef. I’ll definitely be returning for more. Highly recommended!
Best breakfast shop i have ever been to! The egg Benedict with salmon got me on cloud nine. Very flavourful. The atmosphere was such a cosy place with old vibes. The waiter was so friendly giving suggestions and making jokes. Felt very welcomed and comfortable. The view makes you feel like you’re in the country side.
Nice brunch location in Stevenson, Richmond. We had to wait a little bit to get seated, and about 20 min to get the food. Patio is nice, but we haven’t been inside. Good food but I would improve the service.
A vibrant yet cozy restaurant where you can spend time with friends and family. Their brunch and sweets were delicious.
They would charge additional with credit cards and they preferred cash, so it’s recommended to carry some paper with you if you want to go.
this wonderful cafe can offer you both indoor and outdoor setting.
Personally, I really enjoy the outdoor atmosphere….. fresh air, a little of sun, seagulls chirping, nice breeze from the surrounding trees. It’s a wonderful patio.
The menu has a good selection of coffee , tea, specialty drinks …. Light meals , sandwiches, salad , snacks ….. good for anytime of the day. Cost is very reasonable.
This is an excellent stop taking a break when you visit Stevenson.
Food: ordered the beef stew, farmer's breakfast, and waffle/chicken. All were delicious and the first two came with a cute, fresh little yogurt granola.
Drinks: got the vanilla latté, rose latté, and organic drip coffee. These were mediocre and the rose did not taste like rose, though it was quite pretty.
Ambiance: cozy and comfy. Not too loud to hear each other but nice decor and background noise.
Service: friendly and food came quick.
Overall: aside from the drinks everything was perfect, so 5/5.
*Prices have gone up so posting the more recent menus.
Great assortment of dishes
Came here in the late afternoon and got the smoked salmon Benedict, granny’s chowder, coffee and a caramel brulee.
Prices are reasonable - less than other brunch places in Steveston. Went here once before shortly after Once Upon a Time stopped filming. Back then the place was nothing special with a bland menu and even blander interior. Now the Cannery is completely different inside in a good way with an interesting menu full of assorted Benedict’s, spring bowls, lobster entrees and things you don’t often see like paella.
Service was attentive and pleasant. They didn’t rush us even though we were there past closing time.
Food was tasty and well presented. Their Benedict is a little different in that it’s served on focaccia instead of an English muffin. I think focaccia is a better choice as it is easier to cut and does a better job soaking up the yolk and sauce. My coffee was tasty and not tangy.
My daughter enjoyed her chowder and caramel brûlée. The soup tasted home made and who can resist a bread bowl?
I’d come back and try other dishes on the menu. The front patio looks to be a great place to eat in the summer.
I was walking around searching for a place to eat ( I wanted a brunch style meal, this was at 1 pm in the afternoon) I was quickly seated and water was available at the table, along with the silverware. I ordered their eggs rosti with smoked salmon. The meal was very filling, the rosti was not what I expected but was quite delicious. The service was prompt and not overbearing. Everything about the meal was great until bill time. When I was finished, I asked for the bill and was told if I paid by cc that an extra 1.50 charge would be added. I understand that if the bill was under 5 dollars or lotto, the charge would apply.
This hurt the tip option for sure. I paid in cash, but this is the only place I have encountered where this has happened.
That mode of communication after I got my bill really made my dining experience here very negative.
